Visioneer Films

You can now view the Boy Wonder's (my son Jesse's) short films A Night of Fowl Play, Shelter, and The Waiting Room at www.visioneerfilms.com
You can view these with Quicktime in High Medium or Low resolution. Check 'em out. They're good (admittedly I'm biased), and leave a comment.

Hi, I'm Ludicrousity's mum. Is Visioneers a christian distribution company? It wasn't clear from the link.

  5. Hi Ludicrousity's Mum. Nice to meet you. Visioneerfilms is distributed by Matt Burnell Media. Matt is a Christian who runs a design company. All the films were made by people who are either graduates of or connected in some way to Compass Arts Academy a Christian film school in Grand Rapids, Michigan (see the link on this blog) with the stated aim of training Christians to work in the film industry and bring a Christian perspective to the film making enterprise (as distinct from making "Christian films" whose primary audience is the church or explicitly evangelistic films such as those made by the Billy Graham Association). Essentially these are "film makers who are Christian" rather than "makers of Christian films." Hope that makes sense. Jesse might like to add more.

  6. Definitely sounds like something Luke (my brother) would be interested in!

  7. There is also a branch of Compass Arts Downunder overseen by Rev. Gavin Baulch, a Wesleyan minister who is a chaplain to the arts community. They offer short film making courses at BCV.

Thanks Glen, Megan's comment is also mine. Luke (film guru) wants to be a christian in the secular film industry also. Sorry about the double entry, I didn't think it worked the first time!

  9. Maybe Luke should be in touch with Gavin at compassartsdownunder@hotmail.com
So far no one has made any comment about the films themselves. Jesse would love some honest audience feedback I'm sure.
