La Trobe Graduation
At Ludicrousity's request, here are some photos from my recent graduation at La Trobe University. My thesis was formally finalised in October of last year (after being submitted as far back as March!) but I had to wait until now to shake the Chancellor's hand and get my testamur. (The crimson rosella is known for its bright plumage.)

Nice. Good to see photos. If you ever come to teach at Houghton, I'm sure the kids will get a kick out of your plumage on graduation day. There are only a couple profs I can think of that are quite that colorful (namely those who received PhDs from Drew University and the University of Sheffield).
One of my lecturers at La Trobe was Professor John Salmond, who lectured in American history. He was in the US once and had the opportunity to meet former US Vice President Dan Quayle, who called him "Professor Sardine."
